“Instructions for living a life.
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”

― Mary Oliver

Juliana has a background in education, a love of science, and understands the importance of developing and nurturing a relationship with nature for youth to encourage new perspectives and compassion for others. She believes strongly in educational equity and giving all students no matter socio-economic, cultural, or linguistic background the opportunity to experience the beauty and lessons of nature. She worked as the Outdoor Classroom Project Manager for TreePeople helping connect educators with resources to develop and implement school gardens, as well as developing lending kits to support teachers as they enter into the outdoor classroom. As the former Program Director for The Wildwoods Foundation, Juliana has provided environmental education for thousands of students across Los Angeles and oversaw all school and family programs. While at Wildwoods, Juliana supported educators and students’ exploration of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) by creating seven videos which explore the crosscutting concepts. Juliana has worked in the educational field for over a decade and earned her M.A. in Educational Foundations, focusing on opportunity and educational equity for all students.
